The Legislative Insight Breakfast will give us the opportunity to meet and hear from State Senator Richard Roth (D-Corona) and Assemblywoman Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) on the wide array of issues before the State Legislature.

Our no-host informal breakfast will be held in the middle of major legislative deadlines, so there will be a number of bills and issues that will be discussed in the meeting, including the recently signed legislation that restores funding to the new cities neighboring Corona including Eastvale and Jurupa Valley which both legislators and the Corona Chamber have worked for years.

Here is a quick backgrounder on each of the legislators we will be seeing at the breakfast.

Senator Richard Roth

Senator Richard Roth has represented Corona in the State Senate for the last five years.  Currently he serves as the chair of the Senate Insurance Committee and is a leader in the Senate in the formation of the State Budget.

Previous to his service in the State Senate, Senator Roth achieved the rank of General in the US Air Force Reserve while building a leading business law practice in Riverside, CA where he is active in the business community and local chambers.

Legislative Welcome Dinner

Our Sacramento Summit will begin with a private no-host dinner at the legendary Frank Fats Restaurant with three leading voices for working Californians and employers in the State Capitol, State Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga), Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez (R-Corona), and retired State Senator Bill Emmerson (R-Corona), who now serves as Senior Vice President of the California Hospital Association.

The Legislative Welcome Dinner will offer you a rare opportunity to spend social time with some of the Inland Empire and California's leaders on issues as diverse as business regulation, public safety, health care, and critical infrastructure like hospitals.

Here are the background of each of our guests.

Senator Mike Morrell

Senator Mike Morrell has served the residents, employers, and businesses of the Inland Empire in the State Assembly and now the State Senate.  A long time business owner, Senator Morrell serves as the vice-chair of the Energy, Utility, and Communications Committee, and, as vice-chair of the Public Employment and Retirement Committee of the State Senate.

Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez

Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez represents portions of the very southern end of Corona in the State Assembly where she has served as the Vice-Chair of the Public Safety committee.  She is a very strong leader for business and employment in California and has been working diligently to restore many of the common sense legal protections businesses relied on to protect themselves and their customers from crime before the passage of Prop 47.

Senator Bill Emmerson (Retired)
